Sonnet 17

Diamond time swallowed the truthful dog’s paws
Making us were far away the sweet food
Biting luminary and lion’s jaws
Scratching the long-lived nice soul in your blood

The mellifluous Autumn as the fleets
Covered by the sad months and years swift time
To the invisible world, fading sweets
I couldn’t think one most horrible crime

Thousands of knives chopped into my fair heart
Nor kill no dream there like the drawing pen
In serendipity, cut ev’ry part
For defeat’s kind to all the honest men

Yet, be not novaturient, though you were wrong
My painful soul, it’s not ever lived young.
