Ở nơi cuối lối bộ hành
và ngay trước chỗ đầu đường phố chen,
nơi đây cỏ mọc trắng mềm,
mặt trời cháy đỏ rực trên mái nhà,
chim dừng sau chuyến bay xa
trầm thân trong gió bạc hà thổi qua.
Ta rời chốn khói mịt mù
con đường khuất gió lượn lờ quanh co.
Nơi nhựa đường mọc lên hoa
ta toàn đi bộ đo qua từ từ
nhìn mũi tên trắng đến đâu
đến nơi cuối lối dành cho bộ hành.
Ta đo từng bước bộ hành,
theo làn tên trắng di hành đến nơi,
trẻ con, đánh dấu, biết thôi,
về nơi cuối lối rong chơi bộ hành.
