Mustard flower season

There was a mustard flower season
Bloomed yellow on bank of river
She in the prime of girl
Waited for me to be unmarried.

I was diffident dared not –
pluck one mustard tall flower
Fearfully made a white butterfly
Started flying over the river.

Then many mustard flower seasons
Only alone I have known
Alone I dared not pluck
Mustard flower flew up sky.

Longingly remembered afternoon alluvial-village
Have ceased mustard tall flowers
Who induced me to return
By day she was married.

I continued to sow mustard seeds
Continued silently to await and hope
There will be a young girl
Wait for me to be unmarried.
